Louis, Viscount Althorp, is the heir to the historic Althorp Estate—the childhood home of his late aunt, Princess Diana—in spite of him having three older sisters.

The 31-year-old will take over the sprawling ancestral estate due to the system of primogeniture, which dictates that aristocratic titles and properties are passed down to the eldest son rather than the firstborn child.

Born to Charles, the 9th Earl Spencer, and his first wife, Victoria Lockwood, Louis is the only son in his immediate family and a maternal cousin to Prince William and Prince Harry.

Despite maintaining a relatively low profile, he has been recognized in elite circles—earning a spot on Tatler’s list of "top eligible bachelors" in 2019.

Located in Northamptonshire, the Althorp Estate has been the Spencer family’s ancestral home since 1508. It is also the final resting place of Princess Diana, who tragically passed away at the age of 36 in 1997.

Diana spent much of her early life at Althorp after her father inherited the Earldom in 1975. Today, the 13,500-acre estate opens its doors to visitors during the summer, offering a glimpse into its grand history.

Though he has largely stayed out of the public eye, Louis reportedly signed with Tavistock Wood talent agency and has been pursuing a career in acting.

A source previously told The Telegraph, "He's super private and gets on quietly with his thing. He's a very talented actor and, I think, will be a brilliant one. You'd like him. He's very low-key and genuine, decent and kind – and tall."
