Ozzy Osbourne, the lead vocalist for Black Sabbath passed away at 76, and the "Prince of Darkness" was remembered fondly by other music industry icons.
The legendary singer had interacted with Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison, only weeks prior at the historic farewell show that included a majority of big names such as Steven Tyler, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses.
In his post about the now-deceased songwriter on his Instagram, the 27-year-old began, "I didn’t think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room.”
He continued, stating that Ozzy perhaps knew things that the rest of them didn’t, and that he was truly heartbroken by the news and that the most precious thing that he owned was “your cross around my neck.”
Meanwhile Sir Elton John remarked on his friend’s death by writing that he was incredibly disheartened to hear the news.
"He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods – a true legend. He was also one of the funniest people I’ve ever met,” he penned on his social media.
Notably, Ozzy helped pioneer the heavy metal genre and was even included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
