Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no intention of returning to live in the UK, despite recent speculation that their relationship with the Royal Family might be warming.
Following images of a "peace summit" between the Sussexes’ top aides and the King’s communications secretary circulating online, hopes for reconciliation had been reignited.
Harry’s chief of staff Meredith Maines and UK PR manager Liam Maguire were pictured meeting Tobyn Andreae, King Charles’s top aide, on a balcony near Clarence House in London. Notably, no representatives of Prince William were present.
But sources close to Harry and Meghan have now told The Mail that the Duke and Duchess are firmly settled in Montecito, California, and have no plans to uproot their lives.
“They’re very happy living in and raising their family in California and, as it stands, have no plans to leave,” a source said.
The insider added that Harry will continue to travel back to the UK for work tied to his charitable commitments and patronages, but that there is “no question of a full return to the UK for him or the family.”
