King Charles urged to abandon peace talks with Prince Harry by royal fans

King Charles is under pressure to abandon reported “peace talks” with Prince Harry, as royal fans overwhelmingly reject the idea of reconciliation.

According to insiders, the King, 76, is keen not to “throw the key away” on his strained relationship with Harry, 40, and could meet him during the Duke’s potential trip to the UK in September for the WellChild Awards.

But fans aren’t so forgiving. A poll by Express revealed that 83% of respondents (9,317 votes) think Charles should not reconcile with his son.

Only 1,475 voted in favour, while 446 were undecided.

The backlash follows years of public criticism by Harry, who stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and later aired grievances in interviews, his Netflix series, and his explosive memoir Spare.

Commenters didn’t hold back. One wrote: “No reconciliation. Harry just wants more ammunition for his next book or Netflix deal. He has no talent outside of being a prince…” Another added: “No.”

While the King is reportedly open to meeting Harry when he’s in London, this latest public sentiment signals that royal-watchers believe it’s time to shut the door, for good.
