King Charles met the Indian cricket team on July 15 at the gardens of Clarence House.
The meeting took place a day after the Asian team lost a thrilling test match against England at Lords.
The British monarch met the Indian team and told the Indian captain, Shubman Gill, that he watched the last wicket fall on news on Monday night.
The 76-year-old royal also mentioned the delivery that dismissed Muhammad Siraj saying “really annoying just to touch the bails”.
Shubman recalled their conversation as he informed that the King asked them how they felt after the loss to which the Indian captain replied “it was an unfortunate match for us, but it could have gone either way and hopefully we'll have better luck in both the next games”.
Lords, considered the home of cricket, hosted the third test match between England and India that came down to the wire that England eventually won by 22 runs.
The match, that was third of the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy, ended on Day 5 Session 3 as Shoaib Bashir wrapped Indian battling line up that was gradually edging closer to victory.
The next match of the series will start on July 23.
England currently lead the series by 2-1.
