Prince Harry was noticeably left out of King Charles’s tribute during Tuesday’s grand State Banquet at Windsor Castle.
The event, hosted in honour of French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte, saw King Charles heap praise on Prince William while making no mention of his youngest son.
In his speech, King Charles reflected on Windsor’s history, highlighting the decision of William the Conqueror to build the castle and drawing a personal connection to his own son.
“So it is perhaps rather appropriate that my son, The Prince of Wales, who shares that earlier William's name, has made Windsor his home with his family, like so many of our predecessors,” the King said.
Royal watchers quickly noted the omission of Prince Harry’s name, interpreting it as yet another public sign of the ongoing rift between Harry and the Royal Family following his 2020 exit from royal life and subsequent tensions.
While Prince William’s growing role as heir was spotlighted, Harry remained absent from the King’s comments.
