Prince Harrys Invictus invite could put King Charles in tight spot

King Charles is facing an awkward royal dilemma as Prince Harry extends an olive branch by inviting him to the 2027 Invictus Games.

According to The Mail on Sunday, the Duke of Sussex is planning to formally invite his father and other royals to the multi-sport event for wounded veterans, which he founded in 2014.

Set to take place in Birmingham from July 12 to 17, the games will coincide with Queen Camilla’s 80th birthday, a potential scheduling clash that may force the King to decline.

A source close to the Games said: “Harry is hopeful his father will set aside their differences to attend the Invictus Games and support veterans.”

While the Royal Family has traditionally supported Invictus, tensions remain high.

Harry recently lost his legal battle for publicly funded security in the UK, leading him to question the safety of bringing Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet along.

Insiders suggest the invitation is a genuine attempt by Harry to reconnect.

Whether the King will respond in kind, or prioritize Queen Camilla’s milestone, remains uncertain.
