Zayn Malik exposes dark truth about One Direction in new track

Zayn Malik has opened up about the racism he faced during his time in One Direction due to being born into an Asian family.

The 32-year-old Dusk till Dawn hitmaker teased a new song, Fuchsia Sea, and in the cryptic lyrics, apparently took a hit at his former band.

The music icon, whose father is a Pakistani and mother is of Irish-English descent, rhymed:

“Do you remember every conversation?

Cause I have been conscious of every connotation,

And while they on concentrate on their elevation,

I’ve got a round trip to the constellation,

I am a convert to the concert and I did that for inflation,

Cause I worked hard in a white band and they still laughed at the Asian.”

Fans flooded the internet with messages of support. One user shared the screenshot of Zayn’s Instagram Story on X and wrote, “Speak your truth king.” 

Another expressed, “I was a fan of One Direction for the majority of my teenage years. Anybody who tells you Zayn wasn’t facing racism while his 4 white band members didn’t do shit is trying to rewrite history.”

One Direction was a five member band consisting of Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.

The MTV Video Music Award winner left the band on March 25, 2015.
