Cierra Ortega, who is notable for being a content creator, ended her journey of Love Island USA amid controversy.
It was announced in Episode 30 of the seventh season that the 25-year-old star left “due to a personal situation, leaving Nic officially single.”
However, the reason behind her sudden exit can be related to a resurfaced post where she allegedly passed an offensive remark about the Asian community.
According to a report by Perez Hilton, the influencer declared that “Botox isn’t for everyone but I love it for me!!!”
She added: “I can also be a little c***** when I laugh/smile so I love getting a mini brow lift to open my eyes and get that snatched look.”
Nic was seemingly devastated about the news of his love interest leaving mid-show.
This was instantly followed with an outcry against the content creator, demanding the creators to remove her from the reality show.
Her parents responded to the backlash by saying that “this has been one of the most painful weeks of our lives.”
They admitted that the TV personality “hasn’t seen any of” the online public scrutiny.
However, Cierra is not the first one to end her journey on the Peacock dating series as Islander Yulissa Escobar left in the second episode following a controversy.
Yulissa was called out by the viewers after she repeatedly said “ni***” during a past podcast appearance.
