Boyce died at just age 20, due to a fatal epileptic seizure on July 6, 2019. According to the details shared by the family, Boyce was diagnosed with epilepsy just days before his death.

Boyce was known for playing Carol-in the Descendants movies aired on Disney channels.

Three of his co-stars took to their Instagram to pay heartfelt tribute to Boyce.

Sofia shared a black and white throwback snap of her fellow Descendants co-actor Dove Cameron on her Instagram story.

She captioned it, “Our Angel. Forever," which surprisingly received over 1.2 million likes within hours.

Stewart also shared that same post for his Instagram family of over 2.3 million followers.

Sarah Jeffery also took to her Instagram story and shared a flashback pic from 2014 with Boyce, with a tribute.

She wrote with a red heart emoji, "2014. On a BC ferry heading back to Victoria to shoot more of Descendants. LIFE IS good. Miss you Cam."

Boyce also starred in Mirrors, Eagle Eye, Grown Ups, Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer and Runts, along with playing Luke Ross on Jessie from 2011 to 2015.
