ASAP Rocky lends shoulder to Rihanna during difficult time

Rihanna, who shares two children with ASAP Rocky, was offered support by her beau as she suffers a personal loss.

The 37-year-old singer was devastated after her father Ronald Fenty passed away at the age of 71 on May 31, 2025.

On July 8, 2025, the couple put a united front to pay their homage to the deceased soul as they visited the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium for his funeral.

Pregnant Rihanna was spotted wearing a long, cream robe as she carried their son Riot, while the other boy RZA was held by her support system ASAP as he walked behind the singer.

The fiancée of Ronald, Rosemary walked amongst the crowd of mourners who gathered together to celebrate the event of life.

Although it was initially disclosed that Ronald died following “a brief illness,” a month later the death certificate of the dotting father revealed the actual cause of death.

According to the documents, he succumbed to cancer, pneumonia and other illnesses.

How was the relationship between Rihanna and her father?

While the Breakin’ Dishes crooner was reportedly “heartbroken” at the loss, the relationship between the daughter and father was complex.

During songstress’ early years, her father’s addiction with alcohol heavily impacted her mental health.

Previously, she confessed in an interview about her dad being physically abusive towards her mother. In an attempt to intervene her parents, she would also get hit by her Ronald.
