Kelly Clarkson’s crew members are opening up about their experience with the singer’s decision to be a no-show at her highly anticipated Las Vegas Residency shows, and it seems to be similar to fans.
The Catch My Breath crooner announced via social media that she would not be performing at her debut shows scheduled over the weekend, noting that the reason was her voice being strained by pre-show rehearsals and prep.
In recent statements, the sentiments of the crew regarding the cancellation have been revealed by insiders to The Sun, who stated that some members of her team were also “blindsided” by her decision.
“Everyone working behind the scenes was in complete shock. They woke up Friday expecting a normal day of work and began their day like always,” the source noted.
The insider continued, stating that a bunch of the staff was not notified about the change in plans in advance and found out through social media, much like her fans.
“The crew was setting up like normal and bam, it hit. Fans crying about wasting thousands of dollars, fans who flew from outside of the country to see Kelly for the first time,” said the person.
Although the employees efforts were wasted, reportedly, they will be getting paid the amount listed in their contract in full.
