The sequel to the beloved anime, Black Clover is officially in production five years after going on hiatus.
Coming from Yūki Tabata, the anime has a major following, from the popular manga on which it is based.
The adaptation comes from Pierrot, and it began in 2017, going on to have hundreds of episodes.
At the time it followed a weekly release schedule which continued on until 2021 before they went on hiatus.
There is not yet any confirmation of when the second season will be released, but it is expected that the creators will release new details.
“A duo of orphans raised at the same church, Asta and Yuno develop a friendly rivalry as they struggle to become the next Wizard King,” reads the synopsis of the series.
The reason for the show's hiatus was due to the fact that it had caught up with the story in the manga. However, the manga is now on its final arc and there is enough content for the anime to make its return.
The news was confirmed by the page Shueisha on X, formerly known as Twitter.
