Why Kate Middleton's favourite sport had to take a backseat

Kate Middleton has long been known for her love of sports, especially tennis. 

But since becoming a mother of three, the Princess of Wales has admitted she has less time to indulge in her hobbies.

During a visit to Bond Primary School in South West London back in January 2018, Kate shared a candid moment with students. 

Attending a Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative event while pregnant with Prince Louis, she told them: “I love tennis, I think it’s a great sport… I was really sporty when I was little, less so now that I’ve got lots of babies!”

The Princess, who is also the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, has often been spotted at Wimbledon and is believed to still enjoy playing the sport when she can.

Tennis star Laura Robson once revealed that Kate even had lunch with Roger Federer after watching British player Katie Boulter. 

“She really loves her tennis,” Robson told Hello!

Though her time on the court may be limited, Kate’s passion for the sport remains, something she’s now passing on to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
