Prince Harry has been warned against repeating his past mistakes in strong message amid his ongoing peace talks with the royal family.
Royal commentators and royal aides have advised Harry to avoid "more ugliness" in bid to repair his relationship with King Charles III.
Conditions have been set for the Duke of Sussex's reacceptance into the royal family.
The Duke must demonstrate "discipline" if his apparent desire for reconciliation with the royal family is to succeed.
Public relations specialist Eric Schiffer, who chairs Reputation Management Consultants, believes the monarch would also be seeking a return to harmony, adding: "I think the king would rather have smoother relations in a way that assists the monarchy."
However, the expert advised the Duke to keep his media appearances in check.
"I do see reconciliation happening but its going to take time and more patience and consistent discipline by Harry," said Schiffer.
The specialist asked: "Can he do that or will there just be some more monetization where he's going to spew some more ugliness?"
Schiffer was referring to a series of high profile interviews the Duke of Sussex has given in which he was critical of the royal family.
While speaking with Newsweek, Schiffer felt time would tell on Harry’s new "discipline."
"I don't think it's as long of a shot as people say and I think it would be good for both of them," he said.
Previously, Paul Burrell, a former butler to Princess Diana, cautioned Prince Harry that his words against the royal family could backfire. He believes Harry has "broken all the rules" and is now walking on a "tight rope of truth".
Royal commentator Lee Cohen has already warned that forgiving Harry and Meghan for their past actions without accountability could damage the monarchy's respect. He emphasised that the monarchy is a public institution and its actions carry symbolic weight.
