Pedro Pascal received praise from Hollywood stalwart Robert Downey Jr, further solidifying his acting portfolio.

Pascal and Downey, who grew close on the set of upcoming Marvel movie Avengers: Doomsday, shared their thoughts about each other for Vanity Fair’s cover story.

The Iron Man star expressed appreciation for the Screen Actors Guild Award winner, saying: “What reaffirms my faith in our industry is Pascal’s slow trajectory to becoming a household name,” adding that the 50-year-old is on a wildly hot streak.

The Game of Thrones star immediately returned the favour, saying, “Robert is just so immediately generous and inviting.”

He also addressed the controversy over his casting as Richard Reed, revealing that the Oppenheimer star supported, helped and kept him committed to Marvel role.

Pascal is set to make Marvel debut with Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is set to be released on July 25, 2025.

In Doomsday, Pascal will reprise his Fantastic Four character Reed Richards and Robert will be starring as villain Doctor Doom in the movie.

What is the release date of Avengers: Doomsday?

Avengers: Doomsday has started filming this (2025) summer at Pinewood Studios in the UK. It is scheduled for release in December 2026.
