BAFTA-winning actress Suranne Jones says she will never have Botox injections.
The British star insisted on embracing natural beauty rather than using artificial methods such as Botox to maintain youthful skin, although she does turn to alternative rejuvenation treatments.
Jones currently stars in the new Netflix drama Hostage as fictional Prime Minister Abigail Dalton, appearing alongside Julie Delpy and Adulthood actor Ashley Walters.
This high-profile Netflix role marks her return to the spotlight more than two decades after her breakthrough as fiery Karen McDonald in Coronation Street.
However, the Doctor Foster leading lady made it clear she would never undergo Botox for the sake of her career or any acting project.
Speaking to Andy Goldstein and Lisa Snowdon on the We’re Not Getting Any Younger podcast, she opened up about cosmetic procedures.
“I don't think I'll ever do Botox because I'm too frightened. It'll be me that it goes wrong for,” she admitted. “But I would do Morpheus8. Profhilo I've done. But that's about as far as I'll go. With Profhilo it's like just a drink for the skin.”
She added, “I will dabble, but I'm also a bit scared. Also, I can get all the jobs as we get older. And I'll just play the nanas, which I'm happy to do.”
