Aston Merrygold hospitalised hours after surprise JLS appearance
JLS star Aston Merrygold was taken to the hospital in the back of an ambulance on Friday.
The 37-year-old singer posted candid photos of his trip to A&E while tied to a stretcher and connected to an IV drip on his Instagram Stories.
Aston put on a brave front by smiling and giving the camera the thumbs up, but he did not disclose the reason for his hospitalisation.
"It's been an interesting 13 hours," the hitmaker wrote as the caption for the photo.
Following JLS' unexpected performance at Capital's Summertime Ball and the release of Disney Pixar's new film Elio, in which he made his voice acting debut, Aston hurried to the hospital.
However, playing the role of Aston, he appears in the film with Zoe Saldaña, a 46-year-old member of Hollywood royalty.
The singer, who has three children with his wife Sarah, Grayson, 7, Macaulay, 4, and Riley, 1, spoke about his acting debut by saying, "I'm so excited and beyond honoured to join the voice cast for the all-new original film from the iconic Animation Studio."

Aston Merrygold met Sarah Richards when she worked as a backing dancer for JLS. Their professional relationship turned romantic, and they began dating in 2012.
