Joseph Kosinski, who is directing the well-hyped movie F1, revealed the reason why Simone Ashley’s role was cut from the film.
Last year, the cast of the movie was confirmed including Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, and Bridgerton actress Simone Ashley. But, no major details were shared about her specific role at that time.
On June 16, Kosinski talked about Ashley’s scenes not included in the final cut of the movie.
He explained that it’s common for scenes to be filmed but not make it into final cut.
“It happens on every film, where you have to shoot more than you can use,” the director shared.
Ashley’s scenes were filmed, but the filmmaker decided they didn’t fit with the overall narrative.
Despite this, Kosinski praised Ashley's talent and expressed interest in working with her on another project in the future.
The film is set to be released on June 27.
