Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie could be poised for a royal comeback when Prince William becomes King, according to insiders.
The sisters, daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, may not be working royals, but they've been quietly supporting the monarchy through charitable work, and their moment could be coming.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward told New Day magazine that the York sisters are “valuable assets” and likely to take on more official duties under Prince William’s reign.
“I’m sure they would like to do more,” Seward added. “They’re waiting in the wings to be asked.”
While King Charles has championed a “slimmed-down monarchy,” relying heavily on senior royals like Princess Anne and Prince Edward, Daily Mail columnist Richard Eden suggests that Prince William is rethinking the strategy.
“He’s starting to see the value of his cousins and what they could give,” Eden said on Palace Confidential.
Much like Queen Elizabeth II was supported by her royal cousins during her reign, William could lean on Beatrice and Eugenie in the future.
