Australian actor Jacob Elordi stars as the monster in the first teaser for Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein remake, released on Saturday.
The 27-year-old star is shown standing in a crucifix-like position while wearing a mask during Dr. Victor Frankenstein's (Oscar Isaac) electrical experiment to revive him.
Action shots show Jacob fighting multiple men on a clipper ship while hulking at 6'5" and wearing a cloak.
The film, which is set in 19th-century Eastern Europe, also features a threatening image of Elordi's Monster, which is thought to have perished in a fire 40 years prior, on a snowy landscape in the distance.
In a voiceover, the monster states, "I had decided that the memory of my evils should die with me.” He further adds, “some of what I will tell you is fact. Some is not. But it is all time.”
Moreover, he had a vision in his mind that began to take shape, an idea unavoidable until it turned into reality.
Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein is expected to release in November 2025 on Netflix.
