Who will play Voldemort in ‘Harry Potter’ series?

The iconic children’s high fantasy book series Harry Potter is being adapted into a series by HBO after a successful movie adaptation.

The cast for the new series has been announced in parts with the most recent one being the announcement of the golden trio, Harry, Ron and Hermione.

Previously, Dumbledore, Snape, Hagrid and McGonagall were announced which received mixed reactions from the fans.

However, one of the most important characters of the movies is yet to be announced, the dark lord Voldemort.

The one British legend who is being eyed to play the main antagonist of the Harry Potter movies is speculated to be Tom Hiddleston.

Tom is no stranger to playing negative roles as he has infamously played the role of Marvel’s Thor’s brother Loki.

Followed by Tom is the Oppenheimer icon Cillian Murphy, who got the blessing of the original Voldemort, Ralph Fiennes to play the role.

Another Marvel cast member has been speculated as one of the lead runners to play the dark lord, Benedict Cumberbatch.

The first season of the new Harry Potter series is expected to release in 2027.
