Machine Gun Kelly comments on being ‘hated’
The rapper has a calm response to the hate he receives
American rapper Machine Gun Kelly, whose relationship with Megan Fox was notorious for being weird, has a response for the haters.
Colson Baker, also known as MGK, has opened up about being criticised throughout his career.
MGK told People that he has learned to ignore negative comments.
“I became so hated for, what has become apparent to me, no reason . . . just because I artistically express myself, through fashion, music, whatever - because I choose to not stay contained into a societal box,”, he said.
The father-of-two, who is preparing to release his seventh studio album, Lost Americana, on August 8, said that the criticism is a part of his career now.
Calling the haters out for “fitting in”, MGK said that the hate towards him “has become so pop culture” that people hate him now to fit in.
“I've let it go completely to where I'm like, 'Oh, that's a joke.'”, he added.
The rapper is often criticised for not being a traditional lyricist and for blending of genres in his music.
MGK and Megan Fox were criticised during their dating phase by public for their weird display of affection which was often labelled excessive or performative.
