David Williams desperate to bag 'Harry Potter' series

Almost three decades since the Harry Potter books were released, the high fantasy story of the young wizard is being adapted into a series now after the film adaptation was a global success.

The cast of the series has been announced with the most recent news being the announcement of the golden trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione.

English actor David Williams has expressed his desire to play a part in the series.

David was previously offered to play the “newsreader on a TV” role which he turned down but not regrets it and is desperate to “take” back the role.

In the latest episode of Making a Scene podcast, he told his friend and host Matt Lucas that he would “take it”.

“If they need me in the remake because they're doing that now, they need someone to be the presenter - because I thought I was just probably going to be seen in the corner of the screen.”, David said.

The actor pleaded saying “Please, please put me in Harry Potter”.
