Beyoncé fans blasts Piers Morgan’s recent harsh comments

Piers Morgan has landed himself in the middle of another social media row after weighing in on Beyoncé’s latest campaign.

The broadcaster took to X to share photos from the singer’s Marilyn Monroe inspired shoot.

He joked that he was “disappointed” to see her “culturally appropriating” the Hollywood icon.

The remark sparked an immediate backlash, with fans accusing Morgan of misusing the term and reminding him that Monroe was a person rather than a culture.

Unfazed by the criticism, the former Good Morning Britain host doubled down, sharing an old snap of himself with Beyoncé and insisting it had all been light hearted.

“I can’t believe anyone took my obvious Beyoncé joke seriously… but the woke brigade never fail to,” he wrote.

Singer Dionne Warwick was among those to respond, telling the TV presenter that he was “getting involved in women’s business again”.

The ex-CNN anchor replied, “Oh not you too, Dionne… it was a joke!”

It is not the first time Morgan has clashed with the Beyhive.

Last October, he faced a legal challenge from Beyoncé and Jay Z’s team after airing controversial claims about the couple on his programme.
