Nick Jonas gets emotional as he celebrates late sister’s birthday

Nick Jonas, who surprised his fans after he revealed he had a sister, penned a heartfelt note for her.

The singer has three siblings, Joe Kevin, and Frankie Jonas, that fans know about, but the crooner also had a neighbor, with whom he shared a close childhood bond named Maya.

Turning to social media on the special occasion, the father of one looked back on memory lane as he posted a childhood photo with his “sister: on Instagram.

The Leave Before You Love Me vocalist penned on his late sister’s birthday, “I reached for phone to call you so many times today because for as long as I can remember this has been your day.”

He added, “Your birthday - April 3rd, seared into my memory. I will cherish the time god gave us together forever. Please be at peace in heaven now, and blow out your candles with the angels.”

The heartfelt note ended with sweet words from the brother to his late sister, “You are and will always be my sister. I miss you so much. Happy Birthday Maya.”

It is to be noted that Nick has always described the 30-year-old, who passed away on March 7, 2026, as his sister.

For the unfamiliar, Maya died after she fought a rare disease known as Wilson's disease.
