The Spice Girls member Melanie Brown has spoken honestly about her persistent struggles with mental health.
The English songwriter shared with the publisher that she enjoys spending time alone on her farm in Yorkshire.
Mel revealed to Us Weekly magazine: “I make sure I have my brain breaks where I go to Thailand by myself. I go up to my farm without my phone so my kids or fiancé can’t contact me unless they come all the way up to [a different] field. I make space to be able to breathe and feel and sit.”
However, the Feels So Good hitmaker likes to slip away to a private spot on the property, away from her kids and fiancé, to unwind and collect her thoughts.
The 49-year-old further added, “I’m getting to know myself more and more, especially where I’ve come from, feeling so unconfident and unworthy,” Brown told Us. “I’ve managed to figure out my little road to a peaceful place.”
The Say You'll Be There singer also reflected on buying the farm back in 2024, mentioning that it was a small barn without running water or electricity. According to her perspective, animals can sometimes be more loving and caring than humans.
