The plot seems to get thicker in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting controversy despite its apparent end two years ago.
Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2023 after being found guilty of gross negligence in the 2020 shooting of the raptress.
The Canadian rapper has been active behind bars and even tried to finish his Prison Tapes.
In a surprising twist, new information has been made public that could unravel the entire saga.
Kelsey Harris, a former friend of Megan, was present on the night of the shooting.
On Wednesday, Tory’s legal team revealed that Kelsey’s bodyguard has testified that it was she who shot Megan.
The bodyguard claims that Kelsey had a gun during the incident and was intending to use it.
“[Kelsey] fired at [Megan] three times. Mr. Peterson [Tory] grabbed her arm and knocked it down, and the gun fired two more times. In essence, Mr. Peterson never shot anybody,” Attorney Walter Roberts said in a statement.
The attorney further alleged that his client was never given a fair trial. However, Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, has disputed these claims and stressed that Tory was “properly adjudicated” via the justice system.
The development came after the 32-year-old was stabbed 14 times in a housing unit at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi earlier this week.
The artist survived the brutal attack but reportedly suffered collapsed lungs and was placed on a breathing apparatus.
Tory Lanez was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in July 2020 following a violent argument at a house party.
Megan Thee Stallion was with the rapper that night and was reported to have injured her foot due to shattered glass.
However, Megan later took to Instagram to claim that she was intentionally shot by Tory during the altercation.
