Meghan Markle’s foray into the world of lifestyle and hosting is not exactly cooking up praise. In fact, it's being roasted.

The Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix show With Love, Meghan may have landed in the platform’s global top ten, but critics and chefs alike aren’t buying the hype.

Celebrity hospitality mogul Robert Walton, dubbed the "Godfather of Hospitality" and president of the Restaurant Association, didn’t hold back when asked about Meghan’s lifestyle pivot.

“We can all make jam,” he said bluntly. “And we can bake some bread – especially when you’ve got a $100 million Netflix deal. You can make it all look very pretty. But it takes years of grafting to become good at this. That’s what we should be teaching the next generation.”

What is Meghan Markle's Netflix show about?

The eight-part Netflix series features Meghan sharing hosting tips, making brunches with celebrity pals like Mindy Kaling, and prepping ultra-curated meals with pastel flower petals and flawless smiles.

Prince Harry makes a single, brief appearance in the season finale for an outdoor brunch. Despite charting on Netflix, With Love, Meghan was slammed by critics.

The Guardian branded it a "gormless lifestyle filler" and suggested it might be the Sussexes’ "last TV show." The Telegraph didn’t mince words either, calling it "insane" and "an exercise in narcissism."

Season 2 of With Love, Meghan has already wrapped filming and is set to return this fall.
