Taylor Swift fans are questioning the couple’s “Alchemy” after Travis Kelce’s latest move made them swiftly come to her defense, and attack him.
Travis Kelce appears every Wednesday with brother Jason Kelce on their joint New Heights podcast but the National Football League star recently upset fans who think he’s using the Down Bad singer’s name for fame.
The New Heights podcast teams up with the American podcast network Wondery, which sent out a survey for listeners with questions explicitly naming Taylor.
The show primarily revolves around football, as Jason, 37, and Travis, 35, are both NFL players so when the questionnaire contained responses like “I was drawn to the prospect of hearing details and clues about Taylor Swift’s life and her relationship with Travis,” and “I like feeling like a part of the community that supports Taylor’s happiness outside of her music,” netizens were outraged.
Many social media users declared that it was “kind of gross,” “embarrassing” or “pathetic” for the responses to feature the I Bet You Think About Me singer.
“Why did you let Wondery ask about Taylor in relation to your podcast?” one fan seemed to ask Travis.
Another slammed the publishers saying, “wondery+ doing a survey to see if exploiting Travis’ love life would be worth it is disgusting.”
The responses were to determine why listeners tuned in every week to hear the two brothers discuss topics such as “football-specific commentary and analysis of games” and the “Kelce family dynamics” also listed in the survey.
Wondery is a podcast network owned by Amazon which offers podcasts spanning across various genres, including true crime, history, business, and sports. The podcast publisher has produced notorious shows such as The Shrink Next Door, Business Wars and Dr. Death.
Wondery additionally offers Wondery+, a subscription service for access to exclusive content, and ad-free listening.
