Prince Harry recently announced that he is stepping away from his charity Sentebale that he co-founded with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, in honour of his late mother Princess Diana.
The Duke of Sussex has been embroiled in the Sentebale drama with the chair Dr. Sophie Chandauka after he quit as the patron. The decision came in solidarity with trustees earlier this month.
Several trustees left the charity after a dispute with Chandauka and demanded her resignation. Harry stepped away with his co-founder, Prince Seeiso in support of the trustees.
Dr. Chandauka later issued a statement responding to the allegations saying there had been “poor governance, weak executive management, abuse of power, bullying, harassment, misogyny, misogynoir”.
Royal editor Matt Wilkinson told the A Right Royal podcast that Harry might have “bitten off more than he can chew”.
Matt said that the royal had “met his match” as Dr. Chandauka is a “credible, intelligent woman” and her hitting back could be a big challenge for the Duke as no one has opposed him like this before.
The chairwoman had also criticised the Duke for playing the “victim card” by going to the press and claimed that he had tried to emit her from charity through “bullying”.
The controversy rolls out as Harry is expected to travel to the UK for the two-day proceedings of the police protection case.
