Young Thug spotted courtside after avoiding prison sentence
The rapper was seen with Mariah The Scientist after being accused of probation violation
Young Thug and Mariah The Scientist seem to be making the most of their time together considering the rapper just faced a long prison sentence yet again.
Thug recently got under the District Attorney’s skin when he called an Atlanta investigator “the biggest liar” on X, formerly Twitter.
The Stoner artist was in danger of going back to prison after the Fulton County DA’s office filed a motion on Wednesday accusing Thug of violating the terms of his 15-year probation.
The 33-year-old responded on X by denying “condoning anyone” and also called himself a “good person.”
However, on Thursday, Superior Court Judge Reese Whitaker denied the prosecutors’ request to revoke Thug’s probation.
The judge ruled that the founder of YSL Records did not violate any terms by making the aforementioned post but warned against making similar comments on social media.
“While the Court does not find that the cited social media post rises to the level of a violation of Defendant’s probation, it may be prudent for Defendant to exercise restraint regarding certain topics,” Judge Whitaker said in a footnote.
Following the ruling, Thug was spotted with his girlfriend, Mariah, at a Los Angeles Lakers versus Golden State Warriors basketball game in LA.
The couple appeared calm and composed as they enjoyed watching LeBron James take on Steph Curry.
Mariah also posted a picture from inside the arena in her Instagram story which showed the singer’s booted leg over her man’s knee.
The pair has been dating since 2021 with Mariah standing by Thug during his two years in prison after his 2022 arrest in the YSL RICO case.
