Morgan Wallen, known for his unique voice, made an appearance on the Saturday Night Live (SNL) but ended up breaking an important tradition of the show.

The 31-year-old singer was a musical guest at the comedy series which was hosted by the Oscar-winner Mickey Madison.

At the conclusion of the episode, the country artist caused major uproar as he exited the stage after whispering something into Mikey’s ears.

The Last Night vocalist further added to the ongoing controversy by later turning to Instagram to share a cryptic post, featuring his private jet with a caption: “Get me to God’s country.”

According to Variety, Morgan suddenly leaving the “sacred ground” and sharing a social media update later was never meant to offend the SNL viewers as the star enjoyed being part of the sketch comedy.

The source clarified that there was no drama involved as the American artist rehearsed entering and leaving the stand-up comedy in a similar way all week long. The Chasin’ You singer did not think much about this particular move of his.

After the episode aired, the late-night live fans expressed their anger by turning to X as one user could not believe “Morgan Wallen just walking off the stage during the @nbcsnl credits? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that.”

Although the musician cleared the air this time, he made a controversial debut on the TV series in 2020.

He performed in December, two months after the actual schedule, as the You Proof hitmaker was spotted breaking pandemic rules by partying in Alabama.
