Andy Dick had people fearing the worst on Tuesday after he was found completely unresponsive.
The Employee of the Month star was found lying on a set of cement stairs in Los Angeles a scene witnesses say looked bad the moment they walked up.
The 59-year-old actor was slumped over the steps with his glasses dropped beside him. Eyewitnesses calculated from the scene that he had just collapsed while trying to climb those stairs.
In another photo circulating on the internet the comedian can be seen lying on his back while people present at the time hovered over him looking in confusion.
According to the sources present at the site, some of his friends arrived at the scene and frantically started to move him and requested the arrangement of “Narcan.”
The medicine was reportedly given right there on the spot before paramedics even arrived. The whole thing unfolded fast and looked like a possible overdose to everyone around.
After what felt like an eternity, Andy finally picked up the call to answer TMZ about his health status.
Although he tried to sweep everything under the rug and only responded by saying he is “alive and okay.” The comedian chose to stay mum on the reason behind this unfortunate incident.
This is not the first time he has made headlines for an unfortunate incident. His battle with substance issues, arrests, rehab stays, and scandals has been long known to his admirers.
Previously he was ordered to register as a sex offender after a conviction tied to a 2018 case.
Andy rose to fame for his contributions to NewsRadio, The Andy Dick Show, and comedy classics like Road Trip and Zoolander.
But Tuesday’s scare has fans back on edge and wondering how many more “I’m fine” phone calls he has left.
Naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, is a life-saving medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. It works by blocking opioid effects on the brain to restore breathing. Narcan can be administered in any case of suspected substance overdose, and is completely safe to use.
