The show’s official account shared the devastating news to fans in a statement posted on X, which reads: "Following the filming of today's episode in Shepton Mallet, antiques seller Stuart Withers (pictured left with Tim Weeks) very sadly passed away. We send our sincerest sympathies and condolences to Mr Withers' family and friends."

The statement was met with grief-stricken fans who were quick to extend their sympathy, with one fan writing, “So very sad just watched this episode now, offering my condolences.”

Another chimed in, “So sad, RIP,” with many other viewers flooding the comments with angel wing and heart emojis.

The cause of the 51-year-old’s tragic death has not yet been revealed, but it is public information that the expert suffered a stroke in October of last year.

Bargain Hunt is a British television program in which two pairs of contestants are challenged to buy antiques from shops or a fair and then sell them in an auction for a profit.

The pairs are divided into two teams, the “Red” and the “Blue,” both starting with a total of £300 to begin with.
