Scott Foley, a veteran American actor, sat down for an interview on Good Morning America where he spoke about his new series, Will Trent as well as his role in the upcoming Scream 7.
His return in the franchise is confusing for fans, as his character quite clearly died in Scream 3. He will not be the only star from the previous films to make a return, as he will also be joined by David Arquette and Matthew Lillard.
Admitting that he too is unsure about the logic behind his return, Foley said, "I'm willing to take a poll here and someone can explain it to me because I don't know how it works out. Yeah, my character — spoiler alert — 25 years ago, I was the killer in Scream 3. He was brutally taken to town and killed. Now I'm back in Scream 7, and I'm not sure how it's going to work."
When asked about reuniting with his former castmates including Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox, he stated, "The best, it's so much fun. I got to see Neve again and David Arquette again, and Kevin Williamson, who wrote the first one. I was in Dawson's Creek, which was the first TV show he did years ago, he's directing this one, and we had so much fun being on set. It was great to be around people you love and know."
Other returning cast members include Mason Gooding, Jr., Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Ghostface voice actor Roger L. Jackson. Meanwhile new additions include Joel McHale, Anna Camp, and TV personality Mark Consuelos.
