Paul Feig does actresses Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick Another Simple Favour by addressing feud rumours himself.
Lively, Kendrick and Feig attended the debut of the movie at the SXSW Film & TV Festival on Friday, 7 March.
Following the event, Youtuber Melanie King posted a selfie of the cast, including Lively and Kendrick to X with the caption, “I just reported on Blake being terrified to walk the carpet as Anna is pissed and never wants to work with her again.”
To which Feig swiftly clapped back, “Um … you’re wrong.”
The 62-year-old director’s candid counter-argument is a welcome change as the It Ends with Us actress is yet to reach an agreement amid messy legal battle with former co-star Justin Baldoni.
When Lively was asked by an Entertainment Weekly reporter about how it was to reunite with Kendrick (after first appearing together in a A Simple Favour) during the premiere, she responded, “Oh, it’s the best. I’m so happy to be here.”
Kendrick, when faced with a similar question, answered “Oh you know.”
It is important to note that the Pitch Perfect star was busy greeting fans and walking the red carpet during this encounter.
