Hollywood legend Gene Hackman and wife Betsy’s deaths became more mysterious with bizarre conclusions by experts.

Hackman and Betsy were reportedly found dead on February 26 by security officers in their Santa Fe home.

The reports, after confirming the two actually died on February 17, gave birth to several new questions about their last moments and cause of demise.

The investigators have ruled out carbon monoxide leakage resulting in couple's death.

An expert, with no official relation to the case, weighed in on a plausible theory about how the the legend’s wife breathed her last.

The Chief Medical Examiner, James Gill, revealed that the 65-year-old succumbed to a “broken heart.”

He stated to People that there is a possibility of the classical pianist dying due to being grief-stricken after discovering her husband had passed away, whose body showed signs of collapsing.

The examiner deducted a conclusion, saying the Hollywood star and his spouse died of natural causes, which supports the ‘broken heart theory.’

This hypothesis seems reasonable to the expert as the Superman star had a “history of heart diseases.” The only unusual part of the case is “why then did she also collapse?”

Earlier, Gill presented another theory that the couple might have committed “companion suicide,” but he later called it unlikely.

How many children did Gene Hackman have?

The Hollywood A-lister, Gene Hackman, left behind three children that he had from previous marriage, named Christopher, 65, Leslie, 58 and Elizabeth, 63. However, he and wife Betsy Arakawa shared no children.
