There is much buzz around the 97th edition of the Academy Awards, with the event being only hours away.

Best Picture:

Among these, Conclave, with an extraordinary cast including Stanley Tucci, Ralph Fiennes, John Lithgow, Isabella Rossellini has already won Best Picture at the SAG Awards.
The political thriller, similarly, has high potential for being awarded the Oscar.

This category has two neck and neck competitors with both Sean Baker (Anora) and Brady Corbet (The Brutalist) being masterful film directors.
The man most likely to secure first place in the category, however, is Sean, who has recently also won at the Director’s Guild.
Best Actor:
The candidates in the running for this category are:
Sebastian Stan - The Apprentice
Timothee Chalamet - A Complete Unknown
Adrien Brody - The Brutalist
Another category with fierce competition is the one for the Best Actor. The two actors, Timothee Chalamet and Adrien Brody, have given phenomenal performances in their respective films.
However, the lead is slated in favour of the 2003 Oscar winner, Adrien Brody.

The final category of note is the Best Actress, of which the nominees are:
Demi Moore - The Substance
Mikey Madison - Anora
Cynthia Erivo - Wicked
Demi Moore, already in the spotlight for her inspirational and heartfelt speech at the latest SAG Awards, is most likely to be crowned Best Actress at the ceremony.
The 62-year-old actress’s meaningful performance in The Substance has tugged at the heartstrings of many women. Moore’s previous wins also presents her as the strongest contender.
