Meghan Markle to defy Royal tradition with yet another rebellious move

Meghan Markle's next big move might include her return to social media – more specifically, Instagram.

The Duchess of Sussex already has a ready-to-go account on the social media platform namely, @meghan, where she boasts nearly 2,500 followers.

As per reports, the former actress created the account just before the launch of her now-axed Spotify podcast a year ago, in hopes to efficiently promote it.

However, Meghan has never actually posted anything on the profile, which currently comprises a lonesome placeholder image of pink flowers.

Speaking to Page Six, a source divulged the Duchess’ plans to expand her media empire by reviving the account amid reports she has been in talks with multiple brand deals as of right now.

They explained: “Meghan was set to go live on Insta, but changed her mind shortly before she launched her “Archetypes” podcast, so it’s just sitting there now.”

A different source doubled down on the claim: “Meghan really did want to get back on Insta.”

In an interview with The Cut last year, Meghan confirmed her presence on social media, telling writer Allison P. Davis at the time: “Do you want to know a secret? I’m getting back…on Instagram.”

Before her marriage to Prince Harry, the Suits alum was a frequent poster on her previous Instagram handle and even had a travel and lifestyle blog called The Tig.

Explaining the transition, Markle said during the interview: “It was a big adjustment — a huge adjustment to go from that kind of autonomy to a different life.”
