Taylor Swift 'honored' to collaborate with 'favorite new artist' Ice Spice

Taylor Swift has a new favorite artist in Ice Spice.

The 33-year-old singer released a brand new remix of her hit song Karma from her latest album Midnights with the up-and-coming rapper today.

Discussing how the unlikely collaboration came about, the Willow singer described it as “one of the most natural things,” and revealed that Ice Spice reached out to her team via hers.

“And I had been listening to her nonstop,” Swift continued, “like getting ready for my tour… I was just listening to Ice Spice constantly.”

“So I immediately got her number and said, ‘Hey, would you want to do your version of Karma? Do you relate to it?’” she shared, noting that the 23-year-old rapper “jumped in head first” at the opportunity.

The Grammy winner went on to rave about her, saying, “Getting to know her has been so special because I’m blown away by her.

“She is, in my opinion, she is the one to watch. Just watching her work ethic and how thoughtfully she approaches her career.

“She’s like my new favorite artist,” she gushed, “and I’m so honored that she’s on the song.”

Taylor sparked a public discourse after announcing her collaboration with Ice Spice as they brought forth her rumored boyfriend Matty Healy’s racist remarks towards her from a few months ago.
