King Charles ‘chats’ with John Caldwell in PRIVATE meeting

King Charles has something to talk about.

Insp. Det King Charles and Queen Camilla were present at a garden party that John Caldwell attended in County Down.

It is his first public outing since being shot in February at a sports area in Omagh in front of his son.

It is believed that he met privately with King Charles before the occasion.

During the garden party, the Queen spoke with the policeman for a while.

The royal couple is making their first official trip outside of England since becoming crowned.

When two shooters attacked Det Ch Insp Caldwell, 48, as he was off-duty coaching a juvenile football team, he sustained critical injuries.

Police suspect an organized crime organization may have collaborated with the New IRA, a dissident Republican organization, to carry out the attack.

Political leaders from all around Northern Ireland denounced the shooting, which took place in front of schoolchildren, including Det Ch Insp Caldwell's son.

Among the attendees at the garden party at Hillsborough, the royal residence in Northern Ireland, was DUP leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson.

During their tour, the King and Queen also went to the recently constructed Diarmuid Gavin-designed Coronation Garden in Newtownabbey.
