Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro have joined forces for the anticipated Killers of the Flower Moon.
A movie, based on the book by David Grann, narrates the true story of the serial murders that the oil wealthy Osage Nation faced in the 1920s.
The string of crimes was known as Reign of Terror and it became the subject of a lot of probing by the newly formed FBI back then.
The movie trailer does not have a lot of historical background of the murders, but it alludes to a hostile atmosphere based on the horrid crimes that had taken place.
The themes are of raging fires, death, and "hungry wolves".
There are moments of affluent rancher William Hale, played by De Niro and his nephew played by DiCaprio.
The trailer shows Ernest Osage’s better half Mollie played by Lily Gladstone and they collectively show the unease around them.
As per the trailer, the audience has yet to determine if Hale and Buckhart are in the know about it.
It is produced by Apple Original Films and it was filmed in Oklahoma in 2021.
The cast members were seen visiting museums and other places during shooting including Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum, the First Americans Museum, the Gilcrease Museum and the Outsiders House Museum.
The studio announced that it will have a limited release on October 6 and a wider release on October 20.
It debuted on May 20 at Cannes Film Festival.
