Tom Cruise declared 'sexiest male actor' on Showcase cinemas polls

Hollywood's finest heartthrob has been dubbed Tom Cruise. According to a poll conducted on Mother's Day, the Top Gun: Maverick actor is the "sexiest male actor" in Hollywood.

In a vote held by Showcase Cinemas, Cruise, 60, edged out the venerable actor Robin Williams for the top slot.

According to reports, Showcase Cinemas polled 2,000 mothers to choose the sexiest male stars of all time and their favourite movies.

The actor from the Mission Impossible film won the most votes, and the 1965 film The Sound Of Music was chosen as the audience favourite.

Jon Dixon, of Showcase Cinemas, said, "The Sound of Music came out as number one, but it was extremely tight with so many classics making the top ten."

"Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise came top in the list of favourite movie stars, just edging out Robin Williams," he added.

Following Cruise and the Good Will Hunting star, were actors like Tom Hanks, Patrick Swayze, Robert Redford and John Wayne.

Meanwhile, Mamma Mia!, Beautiful Woman, Dirty Dancing, and Gone With The Wind were in second and third places, respectively, behind Titanic.
