Jimmy Kimmel hits out at stars for doing 'nothing' about Will Smith Oscars slap

Jimmy Kimmel is clearly still not over Will Smith’s infamous slap at the Oscars last year.

The 55-year-old television personality took to the stage at the 95th Academy Awards last night where he poked fun at the incident multiple times.

During his monologue, Kimmel reflected on the incident, saying, "We want you to have fun, we want you to be safe and we want me to be safe.”

He continued: "If any person in this theatre commits an act of violence, you will be awarded best actor and be allowed to give a 19-minute speech."

"If anything unpredictable or violent happens at this year's show, just do what you did last year - nothing. Sit there and do absolutely nothing. Maybe even give the assailant a hug," the Late Late Show host added.

Jimmy Kimmel Hits Out at the Nominees:

Pointing out the nominees of the event, Kimmel noted, “Five Irish actors are nominated tonight, which means the odds of another fight on stage just went way up.”

“And if any of you get mad at a joke and decide you want to get jiggy with it - it's not going to be easy,” he continued. "A few of my friends you have to get through first. You are going to have to get through the heavyweight champ, Adonis Creed.

"You are going to have to do battle with Michelle Yeoh before you get to me. You are going to have to beat The Mandalorian before you get to me. You are going to have to tangle with Spider-Man.

"You are going to have to tangle with Fabelman. And then you're going to have to go through my right-hand man, Guillermo, if you want to get up to this stage. Oh, wait a minute well, I should say -- the other Guillermo. Not del Toro," he added.
