John Legend shares first photo of his newborn: 'new love'

Esti Maxine, John Legend's newborn daughter, is being displayed.

While carrying Esti, who was born earlier this month, the 44-year-old crooner grinned for the Instagram photo.

Little Esti, the daughter of Legend and Chrissy Teigen, is wrapped up in what looks to be a pink hoodie. Legend is dressed in a comfortable turtleneck sweater. The infant's small palm is raised in front of her face.

"Our new love," Legend captioned the photo.

Teigen posted a close-up of Esti on Tuesday, giving the public its first look at the baby's face.

"Look at u out here lookin like a baby," she captioned the sweet shot.

In the picture, the newborn appeared to be cradling her head while dozing off and was covered in a grey blanket.

At a private concert on January 13, the delighted father engaged a crowd and announced the birth of their child hours after it had occurred.

"What a blessed day," he said, adding that he "didn't get a lot of sleep" but he felt "energized" after spending "a lot of time" at the hospital.
