Prince Harry concerned about Prince William's kids: 'At least one will end up like me'

Prince Harry "worries" about the upcoming "spare" for the royal family.

The Duke of Sussex expressed his worries for Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, in an interview with Bryony Gordon of The Telegraph published on Friday.

"As I know full well, within my family, if it's not us," Harry said pointing to himself, "it's going to be someone else."

He resumed, "And though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare. And that hurts, that worries me."

As a reference to the distinct paths that have kept Prince Harry, 38, and his older brother apart since birth, Prince Harry named his biography Spare after the proverb "the heir and the spare." In the line of succession to the throne, Prince William's younger brother came after him before welcoming three children.
