Regina Hall shows concern about Jimmy Kimmel hosting 2023's Oscars

Regina Hall wants Jimmy Kimmel to do the hosting in a  manner that everyone at the 2023 Academy Awards will remain seated, unlike the last event.

The 51-year-old actress from Honk for Jesus commented on Jimmy Kimmel presenting at the Oscars in 2023 and made reference to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the March 2022 ceremony.

Hall — who emceed this year's Oscars with the other comedic actresses Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer — lately told Entertainment Tonight of Kimmel hosting, "I think it's really a bad idea. No, I'm joking."

She resumed, "We'll make sure Jimmy's got something on so he don't get injured onstage and nobody comes up out the audience. But I think it's gonna be a fun show and he's tried and true, so I'm excited to see what he's gonna do."

In the March 27 show, after Rock, 57, made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head, Smith, 54, stormed the stage and struck him.

Will Smith's wife was living with alopecia. The actor then apologizes to Rock through Instagram but the strings are still tensed between the two.
