'Better Call Saul' star Bob Odenkirk take up a comedy project

Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk has been set to co-write and co-star in feature comedy The Making Of Jesus Diabetes.

Along with Bob Odenkirk, Better Call Saul actors, Andrew Friedman and Michael Naughton are also going to co-act and co-write.

As per Deadline, the project emerged from the characters that Naughton and Friedman created at The Groundlings Theater, therefore they will reprise their lead roles as Gerry and Seymour Whitaker.

Odenkirk, who recently finished AMC’s hit drama series Better Call Saul after six seasons, will play a supporting role as Leo, a shady man with a dark past.

The movie is about middle-aged brothers who go out of their way to make a film about diabetes during Jesus's time, to honour their deceased mother. During that time, the eccentric brothers with no filmmaking experience, are being recorded by their neighbour.

Heath Cullens directs the movie, while Michael Day, Andrew DeCesare, Naomi Odenkirk, and Bryan DeGuire of Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment produce it.

The movie will begin filming in the first quarter of 2023, no fixed date of production or release is set in stone yet.
