Is Regé-Jean Page returning to Bridgerton season 3?

Bridgerton's first season star Regé-Jean Page, who played Simon Basset, has no intentions of coming to any following seasons of the series as he thought that the "character lived happily ever after."

Regé-Jean Page believed there was nothing more to say about the Duke of Hastings.

After confirming his exit from the Bridgerton, cast more than a year ago, Regé-Jean has been still questioned about his return to the programme.

However, in a recent interview, the actor stated that his character's journey in the play has come to an end and there is no need to revive it.

"I mean, I'll take the compliment that's built in there. I'm so glad that they had a good time and they want more," Regé-Jean said during an interview on Good Morning America.

He resumed, "Shonda [Rhimes] and I are still super proud of how we stuck that landing."

The actor described that Simon and Daphne lived "happily ever after" and they're "not gonna touch that."

"Much like we were talking about playing villains, Simon started from a very dark place," he stated, adding, "He was emotionally broken, and the fact that we had this beautiful redemption arc is what feels so good about him."

"He [Simon] is now married, he has kids, he’s emotionally available, he’s communicating," Regé-Jean concluded.
